Enhancing the EU-Malaysia Business Dialogue and Cooperation in Services Sector
 

On February the 4th 2010, Pascale Youn, EACA Secretay-General, attended the EU-Malaysia Business Cooperation kick-off meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

The EUMCCI (EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and its partners won the call for proposal for this 3-years project, funded by the European Commission and aiming at enhancing and developing the economic cooperation between the EU and Malaysia in the service sector.
Specific areas targeted under the project are ICT, Logistics, Financial Services and during the 1st year, Green Technology.
A number of activities will be organized throughout the 3 years, bilateral meetings, dialogues, roundtables with Malaysian authorities, technical seminars/conferences, publications, position papers, surveys, creation of a website as a resource platform.

EACA will be promoting the project to European institutions, multipliers and companies, as well as organizing the closing seminar in Brussels, at the end of the project.

Also attending the Kick-off meeting were representatives from other partner organizations, namely the Malaysian German Chamber of Commerce (MGCC), the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (MFF), the European Services Forum (ESF) , the Europe Asia Cooperation Agency (EACA), and the EU Delegation.
